Made hugely popular by the Animal Planet TV series about goings-on at Monkey World, this themepark-with-a-message is a huge crowd-pleaser as well promoting worldwide conservation efforts for apes. The park is large, made up primarily of good-sized enclosures where groups of monkeys are able to interact in as decent an environment as non-tropical Dorset can offer. Feeding times and keeper lectures are worth looking out for. The Tank Museum close by offers the possibility of a full-day fun affair.
