Thousands of travellers fly to the West Country via Bristol airport, which offers daily flights to dozens of international destinations. Technically, Bristol is a tad outside Dorset proper, but it's in much better striking distance than London, and offers a wider array of options than Dorset's own Bournemouth Airport. Major airlines that fly to and from Bristol include Air France, Brussels Airlines, Easyjet, Lufthansa, Ryanair and Scandinavian Airlines.
