'She sells sea shells on the sea shore'. That charming old tongue-twister is based on a Lyme Regis lady born and bred - Mary Anning (1799-1847). Mrs Anning was an amateur paleontologist who spent much of her life digging around the Dorset coast for fossils and dinosaur bones. She won the admiration of all the most ivory-towered professors in the land. This beguiling old shop would have been right up her street. With a reputation as one of the finest fossil shops in England, this is a true treasure trove for mineral aficionados.
